Sunil Gavaskar praises Ajinkya Rahane, slams Virat Kohli and Ravi Shastri

India captain Virat Kohli has returned home on paternity leave after playing the first match of the India-Australia four-match Test series. Ajinkya Rahane is captaining the Indian team in the absence of Virat Kohli. Rahane is doing a great job as the captain of the Indian team. On the first day of the Test, he received full marks for captaincy from former cricketers.

On the first day, Ajinkya Rahane changed the bowling as required and arranged the fielding. Many former cricketers have praised him. From Virender Shah to Shane Warne, from Ricky Ponting to VVS Laxman, everyone is full of praise for Ajinkya Rahane. Also the way Rahane played the innings like a captain with the bat on the second day is really admirable.

Former India opener Sunil Gavaskar has made special comments about Rahane's captaincy in the broadcaster. Sunil Gavaskar said, “Ajinkya Rahane has been the undisputed captain of the Australian batsmen, bowled accordingly and arranged the fielding in a beautiful manner.” Gavaskar added, “If I praise Rahane now, many may say that I am speaking so much for Rahane because he is from Mumbai.”
And Sunil Gavaskar's sarcasm that India captain Virat Kohli and Indian head coach Ravi Shastri did not have much difficulty in understanding cricket fans.
