More than 60,000 fake accounts have been created on social media to discredit the Maharashtra government and the Mumbai police investigation. That is their demand.

The cause of death and the investigation by the Mumbai police caused a lot of controversy. Besides, various hashtags are also trending on social media. The Mumbai Police Cyber ​​Branch claimed that all this was done through fake accounts.

Police CommissionParambir Singh said that an FIR has been lodged in this case. The cyber branch will start a detailed investigation into the case. He added that the proxy servers of all these fake accounts are all foreign. According to the Cyber ​​Branch, more posts have been posted against Mumbai Police from Italy, Indonesia, Japan, Slovenia and Thailand.

According to reports, the investigation has revealed that multiple hashtags were created on social media to defame the Mumbai police and the Rajya Sabha government. The hashtags #JusticeForSSR, #SushantConspiracyExposed, #justiceforsushant, #sushantsinghrajput and #SSR are used.

Mumbai police said the accused could face up to five years in jail and five to six years in prison if convicted under the section of the IT Act.
