Sushant's case will not be investigated by the CBI, the verdict of the Supreme Court

The CBI will not investigate the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput, the Supreme Court has said. A division bench of Chief Justice SA Bob has rejected Alka Priya's plea for CBI probe in Sushant's case. According to the bench, Mumbai Police has already started investigation into the case.
On the other hand, after Sushant's family filed an FIR against Riya Chakraborty in Patna, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh moved to demand a CBI probe. Anil Deshmukh held a meeting with senior Mumbai police officials and administration officials on Wednesday afternoon. But after a few hours of meeting, he made it clear that there was no need for a CBI probe into the case.

Rear lawyer Satish Manshinde demanded that the investigation into Sushant's death be shifted from Patna to Mumbai. The family of the counter-actor also submitted a caveat. Sushant's family lawyer has already complained that someone from the Mumbai police is helping Riya.
After the FIR was lodged in Patna, Rhea filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking transfer of the case from Patna to Mumbai. Riya claims that Riya would not have been able to do so without the help of the Mumbai Police.
On Tuesday, Sushant's father lodged a complaint with the Rajiv Nagar Police Station in Patna. Cases have been filed under sections 341, 342, 360, 406, 506 and 306 of the Indian Penal Code. A six-page FIR has been lodged against Riya and her family on multiple serious charges.
