Tensions erupt on the Indo-Nepal border, with an Indian man shot dead by Nepal police

Banglahant Desk: The Uttar Pradesh border of the Yogi kingdom is heating up. The death of an Indian youth in Nepal police firing late Thursday night has caused a stir in the border area. Biart police force has also been deployed at the spot along with armed personnel.

According to sources, 26-year-old Govinda Singh was shot dead by Nepal Police while going to Belori Bazaar in Nepal from Raghabpuri Tila No. 4 village. He was accompanied by two other friends – Gurmit Singh and Pappu Singh. Although one of them somehow escaped to India, one has yet to be found.

The incident suddenly heated up the Yogi-Uttar Pradesh-Nepal border. Yogi police are interrogating a young man who fled to India. Why the Nepal Police fired on them is being investigated. However, armed forces as well as a large police force have been deployed there to calm down the agitated villagers.
