The Caribbean Premier League is set to begin on August 18 amid concerns around the world. Caribbean all-rounder Fabian Allen was left out of the tournament after a bizarre incident as the Caribbean cricketers were preparing to go down 22 yards. No corona symptoms, no injury problems, only Fabian Allen was dropped from the entire Caribbean Premier League for not being able to catch the plane on time.
The tournament organizers had planned to fly all the support staff, including match officials and cricketers, to Trinidad and Tobago just days before the start of the tournament. The Caribbean cricketers were scheduled to reach Trinidad and Tobago, the venue of the tournament, via Jamaica and Barbados.
At first everyone from Jamaica was taken to Barbados. From there, all the cricketers and supporting staff were scheduled to arrive in Trinidad and Tobago on a chartered flight. But Fabian Allen missed the flight due to a late arrival at Jamaica airport. The manager of Fabian Allen said we had trouble understanding the whole plan. Due to this we could not reach the airport on time. So we missed the plane. Fabian was virtually eliminated from the entire Caribbean Premier League due to missing a plane.
