The price of petrol and diesel went up in Delhi about 50 days after the lockdown due to the corona virus. The government has increased the minimum VAT on oil. The VAT on petrol has been increased to 30 per cent and the tax on diesel has also been increased to 30 per cent. According to the government's assessment, after the increase in VAT, the price of petrol in Delhi has gone up by Rs 1.8 per liter and diesel by Rs 8.10 per liter. Following the government's decision, petrol in Delhi is now priced at Rs 71.28 per liter and diesel at Rs 79.29 per liter.

Diesel was taxed at 16.75 per cent, which has been increased to 30 per cent. From today, the price of petrol in Delhi has gone up by Tk 1.8 per liter and diesel by Tk 8.10 per liter.
Earlier, the Kejriwal government in Delhi allowed liquor shops to open in the capital. The government also laid down the necessary conditions for opening this liquor store.
