According to media reports, Irfan went abroad for cancer treatment in mid-March before the news lockdown started. Then suddenly the lockdown started and he got stuck there.

However, the demands of some media outlets are not abroad but Irfan is in the middle of the country. Their claim is that the actor is in Mumbai. However, it was not possible for him to stay abroad or reach Jaipur in the midst of lockdown in the country. So Irfan said goodbye to his mother through a video call. Saida Begum's last rites were performed at Chungi Naka Cemetery in Rajasthan on Saturday evening. Only a few members of the actor's family were present.

Irfan's mother Saida Begum was a member of the Nawab family in Tonk district of Rajasthan. He lived in Benial Kant Krishna Colony in Jaipur. There he breathed his last. The actor's friend director Sujit Sarkar lamented, “It is a very sad incident. I will talk to him on the phone. '
Incidentally, Irfan himself had been suffering from endocrine cancer for a long time. His treatment was going on abroad. Then he recovered and started acting again. His film 'English Medium' has been released before the lockdown.
