Bengali Hunt Desk: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan in the capital Delhi breathed his last on Tuesday after being infected with a corona. The 55-year-old CRPF jawan was admitted to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi last week. There the report of the jawan came positive.
This is the first case of death of one million workers working under the Union Home Ministry in Corona. The deceased jawan was posted as SI in CRPF. He was admitted to Safdarjung Hospital a few days ago after getting symptoms of corona. SI is a resident of Barpeta district of Assam and before that he was suffering from diabetes or high blood pressure.
I would like to inform you that 15 out of 46 jawans deployed in the Delhi Battalion of CRPF have been affected by Corona. This information was obtained from a senior official on Saturday 25 April.
