The young bowler is set to replace Ishant in the first XI of the England series

Bangla Hunt Desk: There was a lot of controversy over the selection of the Indian team in the final of the World Test Championship which took on a bigger scale after India’s loss to New Zealand in the final. Shortly after the selection of the Indian team, many demanded that Mohammad Siraj should have played in place of Ishant Sharma, an experienced professional of the team.

In the final of the World Test Championship, the Indian team went to the backfoot from the very beginning by playing two spinners in the rainy environment of England. Cricket experts believe that playing Ishant Sharma instead of Mohammad Siraj is another wrong decision of India. Although Ishant took three wickets in the first innings, many think that Mohammad Siraj could have played a much more effective role in this environment.

Mohammad Siraj bowled brilliantly on Australian soil against a strong Australia. He also bowled well against England back in the country. Siraj proved himself with 16 wickets in 5 Tests. And so from the first Test match of the series against England, there has been a strong demand to replace Ishant Sharma with Mohammad Siraj.
