Bengali Hunt Desk: The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Goa has won 32 out of 49 seats in the Goa Panchayat Election Result. And the opposition Congress had to be satisfied with only 4 seats. There are 50 seats out of 48 district panchayat areas in the state, one of which could not be elected due to the death of a candidate. Elections were held on December 12 in the remaining 49 constituencies.
The BJP won 32 seats in the by-elections on Monday. Non-partisan candidates have won seven seats. The Congress has won four seats and the MGP three. Besides, NCP and AAP have won one seat each. For the first time in Goa, AAP participated in the elections. The AAP, led by Arvind Kejriwal, could field candidates for most seats in the 2022 Goa Assembly elections.
Chief Minister Promod Sawant has expressed happiness over the BJP's election results in rural areas of the state. He said he thanked the people of Goa for their confidence in the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Goa government under his leadership.

Sawant tweeted, “Take this kind of faith and trust forward and help make Goa the best and self-reliant state.” He told a press conference that rural voters had shown confidence in the BJP leadership and the state government.
He said the party has won by a huge margin in many district panchayat areas. Goa BJP president Sadananda Seth Tanabare said the results showed that people were with the BJP. He said the results also prove what the outcome of the state's 2022 elections will be. He said the party would form the government with a complete majority in the state.
