The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is confident of hosting the men's IPL as well as the women's T20 tournament. On Sunday, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly said the BCCI was continuing its plans to make the IPL a women's event.
On this day, Sourav Ganguly said, “We have all kinds of plans for women's IPL.” We are continuing to try to make women IPL. If all goes well, the women's IPL is going to be held in November this year. Sourav Ganguly is also optimistic that the women's national team preparation camp will be on time.
A BCCI official said the tournament, called the Women's IPL or Women's Challengers Cup, will be held from November 1 to 10 this year. Jhulan Goswami, the senior pacer of the Indian women's cricket team, tweeted to thank the BCCI and Sourav Ganguly after hearing the news of the IPL coming out.
