Bengali Hunt Desk: The thousands of years old tradition of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple has changed. The priests of the mahanta family of the Kashi Bishwanath temple, angry at entering the temple, prayed to the seven sages in the street. During the Aarti, the priests of the Mahanta family made the earthly Shivling of Baba Kashi Biswanath and anointed it with water and milk. The priests also recite Vedic mantras and pray to the seven sages in the middle of the road.

This tradition, which is still thousands of years old, was carried by members of the mahanta family of Baba Bishwanath temple. But this tradition is broken when the Kashi Bishwanath temple administration blocks the priests of the Mahanta family who are going to perform Aarti on the road and does not allow them to enter the temple.

Angered by this incident, the priests of the Mahanta family gathered at the gate number 4 of the Bishwanath temple and first of all made the earthly Shivling of Baba Bishwanath with garlands, then the Vedic mantra was recited and the seven sages were worshiped by anointing the Shivling with water and milk.

Shashi Bhushan Tripathi, chief priest of Kashi Bishwanath Temple and a senior member of the Mahanta family, who was present at the occasion, said his family has been performing the Aarti of the seven sages at the Kashi Bishwanath temple for thousands of years, but they were stopped on entering the temple on Thursday. Not given.
