Tripura is India's third corona-free state after Goa and Manipur, says Chief Minister Biplob Kumar Dev


Bengali Hunt Desk: After Goa and Manipur, Tripura became the third corona free state in the country. Yesterday evening, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb shared this information from his Facebook profile. The Chief Minister posted on Facebook that Tripura became known as a corona-free state after the second patient infected with corona emerged.

According to a report by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, coronavirus infection has been found between the two in Tripura so far. Both of them were undergoing treatment at the hospital. The woman, who was the first of the two to be infected with corona, has returned home after recovering from Agartala Medical College in the state capital. The second was treated at the hospital. However, his report came positive on Thursday. After the second person's report came positive, Tripura is now free.

Let me tell you, corona has been found in 23,156 people so far in the whole of India. Of these, 18,382 cases are active. And so far 623 people have died across India and 5,073 have returned home after recovering from Corona.

Maharashtra is still the worst affected state in India with 6,426 cases. Since then, 2,624 cases have been found in Gujarat. Delhi came in third with 2,036 cases. Rajasthan is in the fourth place, where 2,000 cases have been found.

West Bengal is at number 10 in that list. So far, 514 cases have been registered in the entire state, out of which 398 are active cases. 103 people have recovered and returned home and 15 people have died.
