BanglaHunt Desk: The Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rains in several districts of Bengal in the next 48 hours. Thunderstorms and rain are expected in different parts of the state during the first week of May. Due to the storm, heavy rains are expected in a wide area till May 8, according to the weather office. According to the meteorological department, the cyclone will intensify in Bihar and adjoining areas.
Yesterday morning in Kolkata city the maximum temperature was around 33 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be around 28 degrees Celsius. On Tuesday, the maximum temperature will be around 33 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be around 25 degrees Celsius. The meteorological office has forecast light to moderate storms in several places due to water vapor in the air.
Due to the low pressure in the Andamans during the last few days, the mercury has not been able to touch the maximum line even in the full moon. Again due to the arrival of Cyclone Amphan, the amount of water vapor in the air is much higher than the humidity. Due to which there is a possibility of Kalavaishakhi with heavy storm rain on Tuesday and Wednesday in some parts.
The Indian Meteorological Department has named 189 storms selected by 13 countries to name future cyclones in the North Indian Ocean, Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean. Gulab, Tej, Agni, Aag are some of the names. The previous list of cyclones named by the meteorological department of eight countries in 2004 will end after the cyclone in the North Indian Ocean, the Bay of Bengal or the Arabian Sea. The next cyclone will be named 'Amphan', a name proposed by Thailand, which ended the 2004 list.
