Bangla Hunt Desk: The BCCI was forced to close the IPL in the middle of the day due to the growing corona infection across the country. Cricketers as well as the Indian Cricket Board have suffered huge financial losses due to the closure of the IPL. And in such a situation, the Board of Control for Cricket in India is desperate to host the IPL in any other venue.
Initially, the rest of the IPL matches were scheduled to be played in the United Arab Emirates, but a BCCI official said the weather in the UAE was not conducive to cricket at the moment. It is not possible to hold cricket matches there before October-November. That is why the BCCI has canceled the UAE. And then four county clubs in England demanded the BCCI to host the IPL.
If there is an IPL in England, BCCI will get benefits from all sides. Because the weather in England is very good for the health of cricketers. The clubs in England that have claimed to host the IPL are Lord’s, Edgbaston, Kia Oval and Old Trafford. All of these stadiums will have full spectator access. In that case BCCI will also benefit commercially.
However, due to the time difference between India and England, some BCCI officials have demanded that IPL matches be played in Australia. Because the cricketing relationship between Australia and India is very good and the time difference between the two countries is not too much. In that case, watching the IPL match will not be a problem for the spectators.
