Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had announced before the end of the third phase of the election campaign that the people of the state would be given free covid vaccine. At the end of the third phase of the election campaign, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan announced in Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday, ‘Although the number of corona cases is declining day by day, it is also being seen whether the number of infected people is increasing due to the current elections. However, whenever the corona vaccine arrives, the Kerala government will make it free.
He added, “People have many doubts and thoughts about the vaccine against corona virus. It is very difficult to get the vaccine to remote areas of Kerala. We have to think about everything. However, vaccination is a very important issue. As soon as the vaccine arrives, it will be distributed free of cost to the people of Bajya.

Why the announcement of free vaccines in the election?
The election process in Kerala has started from last 6th December. The election process was completed smoothly in the first phase on December 6 and in the second phase on December 10. The third round of elections will be held on December 14 and the results will be released on December 16. But before the third round of elections on Saturday, at the end of the campaign, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan announced the free corona vaccine. But after his announcement, a letter was sent to the Chief Minister by the Kerala Election Commission. He sought an answer as to why he made such an announcement in violation of the State Election Commission Model Code of Conduct during the process.
