Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed special surveillance in border districts to control locusts. After reviewing the Chief Minister and the Agriculture Minister, the DMs of the concerned districts and the officials of the Agriculture Department have asked them to take appropriate measures to rescue the locusts. These areas include Jhansi, Lalitpur, Agra, Mathura, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Bagpat, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Banda, Chitrakoot, Jalagan, Etawah, Kanpur Dehat and other districts. Due to the sudden arrival of locusts, there will be a problem of cultivation in this country. A suggestion has been made to sound with drums, tin boxes, plates.

The locusts are inspecting the border areas of the state and monitoring their activities and issuing necessary security instructions to the concerned districts. It was heard that this locust is slowly moving towards West Bengal. Control rooms and teams have been set up at the state level to control grassroots parties. A folder on locust outbreaks, detailed information on their safety and precautions has been prepared.
Warning has been issued
Social media has been made available for departmental officers and employees of all the districts in the state. In addition, it has been made available to the farmers and general public. Arrangements have also been made in the districts to set up nodal officers, task forces and control rooms at the district headquarters.
