The decision was taken after Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath came to know about the incident. BJP leader Shalav Mani Tripathi tweeted, “Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said the matter should have been taken up with more sensitivity by the police.” He also ordered the bet seller to be released temporarily. He also instructed the high-ranking police officials to send Diwali gifts and sweets for the girl.
